+    You should at least have a smoke detector in your room - if you're using an enclosure for your printer, I'd suggest to place an additional smoke detector in it as well.

+    As for a fire extinguisher, I'd suggest to get a foam fire extinguisher instead of a powder one, just because powder ones really make a huge mess in the whole room if you have to use them.
